Truffles

What is a Truffle? Mostly we think of candy and gourmet sweets, when we think of truffles. Truffles actually come from a fungus. According to Wikipedia, "A truffle is the fruiting body of a subterranean Ascomycete (asexual) fungus, predominantly one of the many species of the genus Tuber. Truffles are ectomycorrhizal (a form of symbiotic relationship between fungi and different plants) fungi and are therefore usually found in close association with tree roots."
